“Mungaravalli” is a remote village, about 6 km from Sagar, Shimoga District. The organization “Chaithanya Special Education Trust” founded to work for the welfare of special children with the help of like minded people from the surrounding villages.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s purpose is to serve children with mental and intellectually different strengths.<\/p>\n
The Chaithanya School don\u2019t have any financial backup. So this school run by donation from parents, well-wishers and the public. So we require financial support from organizations and donars.\u00a0 Currently, \u00a0‘Chaithanya School’ conducting classes \u00a0in part of a government primary school\u00a0 and Chaithanya Trust chairman Shantala\u2019s \u00a0outhouse is the physio therapy center.<\/p>\n
Children come from around 35 km distance. According to our survey,\u00a0 approximately 100-150 special children staying in this area. Trustees also sponsor training for teachers. Improvement in special children’s health and day today activities have been a ray of hope for trustees.<\/p>\n

She\u00a0 entered\u00a0 this field through ‘Home Based Education’ program, which provides education to special children in their homes.<\/p>\n This work experience and her concern towards special children helped her to\u00a0 run this school successfully.<\/p>\n Shantala\u00a0 completed\u00a0 DECSE (MR) and FCED courses, which required for special children education. She is\u00a0 successfully running this school from past three years.\u00a0 \u00a0It is proud that the children here have won district, state and national awards at the Olympics for special children.
